It’s been several months since I first posted about our “small trip” vacation planning. The plans went through a few iterations, temporarily settling on Cape Cod… then veering south after seeing hotel prices in that region. Eventually, we decided on a multi-stop driving trip focusing on Williamsburg, Shenandoah National Park, and Gettysburg: Hence, “The ‘Burgs.” Or, possibly “The Beers.”
No post yesterday, as I out-slept Gina by a mile. Today, we head back home, probably via the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (only adds a half hour or so, and it’s an infinitely more scenic drive). Nothing left to do but sum everything up on this early Tuesday morn!
And, not far in, we’re greeted by more sheep. There seem to be a whole lot of sheep in Williamsburg … and we wouldn’t have it any other way. These were exceptionally cute, and when they brought out (what at least appeared to be) a bundle of hay for them to snack on, the guy to the right let out a little bleat and went running. Nice.
