Up very early this morning, and we have a full day ahead of us. We dock in Cozumel this morning, and we go ashore right away, then head to the mainland for the Mayan ruins at Tulum. Meantime, a quick summary of yesterday.
Woke up early today, partly due to the time change. But, since we have an early shore excursion tomorrow, we figured we might as well just get up now and have a leisurely morning in the cabin … which gives me some blog-writing time!
Gina’s about to shower and get moving for the day, so I figured I’d take advantage and write up something about setting out yesterday. Thanks to my parents’ elite status, boarding the ship was pretty quick and easy, so we were already more or less settled into the room before the cattle were even on board (spoiling us for future cruises when we’re among the cattle, I’m sure). The room isn’t exactly expansive, but the size isn’t bad at all — except for the miniature bathroom, I’m guessing I’ve been in hotel rooms about this size. (View my awful cabin tour here.)
I’m not anticipating shipboard updates, but hey, I’ve got a few minutes now, so why not throw another preview update on here?
Just a quick update from the SpringHill Suites by the airport. Gina’s in the shower, and the ridiculous frosted glass door on the bathroom means the light streamed right into the room … at that point, I figured I may as well just get up!
